ISLE ROYALE: Member-sponsored Sailing on a Private Boat
Join us on a Morgan 462 ketch rigged cruiser for a week of real sailing from Washburn, WI to Isle Royale in northern Lake Superior. Isle Royale lies approximately 100 miles away and, depending on weather, an overnight passage may be in order.
s/v Dilly Dally has 2 cabins plus bunks in the walk-through and 2 heads, both with showers. She can sleep 8 people quite comfortably. The fully enclosed cockpit is wonderful for Lake Superior, which can be a bit chilly at times. Dilly Dally has a full complement of electronics, electric windlass, dinghy with motor, CD and TV/DVD players, refrigerator, freezer - even heat and A/C while at the dock.

Itinerary
This is a rare opportunity to visit Isle Royale.
Most Lake Superior charter companies will not allow their boats to go this
distance without a hired captain (read: expensive).
Upon arrival, the crew will check in at the Windigo ranger station,
generally the first stop for visiting boats.
Isle Royale boasts beautiful, rustic nature trails and numerous coves and bays
to explore. Bring your hiking shoes!
Dilly Dally has 2 inflatable kayaks for your enjoyment and a dinghy for those
seeking less exertion! If the weather holds, the plan is to circumnavigate the island.
The final itinerary will be determined by the crew.
This will be a great trip - sign up now!
